Abstract
In this thesis, four modern virtual reality headsets were studied and compared, which were Oculus Rift CV1, Oculus Quest, HTC Vive Pro and Varjo VR-1. The study was created to compare the properties of different headsets and find out what are the most important aspects to look out for when purchasing a headset. An experiment with 59 participants was conducted to collect the data. During the experiment, all participants got to play two games and watch one movie. Questionnaire and observations were used to collect the data. Based on the collected feedback and observations, pros and cons of each headset were found. The most important differences were found to be headphone positioning, usage of compatibility software and the positioning of tracking devices.
