Creating Moodle Question Types Related to Venn Diagrams

Abstract
The goal of this thesis was to create two new question types for electronic learning system Moodle as plug-ins to aid teaching the subject “MTAT.05.110 Elements of Discrete Mathematics” in University of Tartu, more specifically the set theory part of the course. These two question types are about Venn diagrams. The first – “Venn Diagram Marker” – requires student to mark correct areas on an interactive Venn diagram. The second – “Venn Diagram to Expression” – shows students a Venn diagram, student needs to construct a set theory expression according to the shown diagram.
