Abstract
The purpose of this thesis was to create a software application that helps people who are interested in music to improve their sense of rhythm. Thesis explains the music notes and theory behind them that is needed to understand the working logic of created application. Also it explains the sound digitalization process and gives method for finding beats from audio. Other part of the thesis gives an overview of some of the Android classes and libraries that were used in created application. Also thesis provides some guidelines that should be taken into account when developing application for Android operating system.
