Analysis of the Patient portal user interface

Abstract
The aim of this Bachelor’s thesis is to analyse the usability of the Patient portal created by the Estonian eHealth Foundation and to offer possible improvements. For this purpose a qualitative study was arranged in which potential users of the Patient portal were asked to perform certain tasks in the test environment and to evaluate and give their opinion about different aspects of the portal. On the basis of the study, the web application design conventions described in the beginning of the thesis and the author’s observations Patient portal shortcomings were pointed out and possible solutions were presented.
