Abstract
The purpose of this Bachelor’s thesis is to analyze the mathematics motivation of the participants of the MOOC „Introduction to Programming for Students. In the theoretical part of this thesis the overview of massive open online courses and the MOOC „Introduction to Programming for Students“ is given. Additionally, the term mathemathics motivation is explained and the links between mathematics motivation and academic success are described. In final chapters, the data analysis and the results of the study can be found.
