It also provides a chance for the first year students to gain experience in managing their time and find ways to improve their study habits. A time management system was created for the first years tudents of the Institute of Computer Science of the University of Tartu, in order to record their study habits and to get an overview of them.
Furthermore, the Bachelor’s Thesis expands on the descriptions of previous solutions, an analysis of the previous versions of the web application, an overview of the technologies used for creating the new system and a detailed description of the finished application.
The use of the new system will be part of a mandatory course and it will be used by lecturers and study program managers to guide students and also evaluate and improve courses based on students’ study habits.
