Abstract
The purpose of this Master’s thesis was to research available software for improving reading speed and to develop a web-based application to learn speed reading. The application offers different kinds of speed reading exercises and questions about the read text to check comprehension. Users’ attempts data is saved and displayed as a summary. Users with teacher role can manage reading texts and registered users.
