Abstract
The aim of this Master’s Thesis is to provide a tool for public sector information holders with the aim to support them evaluate the impact of opening data and decide whether or not to publish data as open data. To achieve this goal, the author mapped the current situation in the field of open data. An overview of completed development projects was conducted to get an overview of current status and interviews were conducted with open data specialists.
Open data publication impact assessment tool contains guiding questions that the holder of the data needs to pay attention to before publishing the data. The questionnaire helps to evaluate important nuances in the context of open data.
The created tool can be an input for policy makers in the field of open data who can take the information analyzed in the thesis as input for further development of the field.
