Abstract
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to create a mobile application that recognizes the melody from a picture of sheet music and plays it, thus simplifying the task of extracting information from sheet music. An overview of optical music recognition, its steps and existing applications is given along with the description of the development process for the mobile application and an analysis of the result.
