Abstract
This master thesis describes an application called Qumanize that was created to carry out a humanization process for non-human monoclonal antibodies. Monoclonal antibodies are used as therapeutics for various cancers and autoimmune diseases. They are credited for their high specificity and reduced side effects compared to other drugs. However, since they are discovered in non-human immune systems, their amino-acid composition may induce an immune response in the human body with severe consequences. Qumanize is a tool for humanizing antibody amino acid sequences discovered in various species. It was created as a command line application, so one part of this thesis project was to create a web interface to this application for better accessibility - this process is also described in detail.
