Abstract
Aging population and increasing demand for care are pushing countries to explore new smart and cost-effective ways in providing healt-care services, by exploring possibilities of human centered healthcare, digitalization and cross-cutting cooperation. Designing an outpatient appointment scheduling system requires careful consideration of several components. Online scheduling systems have great potential in helping to achieve an efficient appointment process as well as better patient satisfaction.
This thesis describes a waiting-list function to be integrated into Estonian national online appointment scheduling system, by laying out the as-is and to-be processes, creating a user-experience prototype, describing requirements for a minimal viable product for testing and measures to be monitored. Based on this work, a technical solution for implementing the waiting-list functionality will be procured.
