Abstract
The goal of this Bachelor’s thesis is to determine which options are suitable for introducing a text-based programming language in junior high school. For that, an experiment was conducted in one of the schools in Tartu, Estonia, on how well the Junior high students manage to comprehend Python programming logic, how interested they are in programming and how quickly the students manage to obtain the necessary concepts and realize them.
