Abstract
Incorporating computer based learning in schools, including math lessons, is becoming an increasingly relevant topic. Using online studying platforms got particularly important during the distance learning phase caused by the coronavirus pandemic. One of the websites for interactive math exercises is called Nutisport. At the moment most of the exercises in Nutisport are for basic school level. This is why the goal of the bachelor’s thesis was to program a Nutisport math exercise for one secondary education math topic. In the frame of this paper an exercise on the topic of vectors was successfully programmed. Additionally, other online math learning platforms were researched and compared. It was found that each website has its own pros and cons. Furthermore, math teachers’ and high school students’ opinion on computer based studying was analysed. Both earlier studies and two new questionnaires were used to achieve that. It turned out that teachers do not see a problem with time management in math lessons, but they do agree with the benefits of web exercises. Students do not think that solving the vector themed exercise is pleasant, but they admit that it is useful for memorizing equations.
