Multimedia Teaching Materials Usage by Teachers

Abstract
This bachelor's thesis aimed to find out the attitudes of Estonian teachers towards learning materials containing multimedia. For what purposes do teachers use such materials in their teaching, and what are the main materials used. A questionnaire survey was conducted among Estonian teachers to collect data, and the spreadsheet program MS Excel was used to analyze the results. The results showed that Estonian teachers consider the use of multimedia learning materials to be easy and consider such integration of materials into teaching very important. Teachers most actively use multimedia presentation software such as MS Power Point and Google Slides and interactive questionnaire platforms such as Kahoot and Quizlet. More than half of the respondents use multimedia learning materials practically in every lesson. The main reasons for using multimedia learning materials during the learning process were the possibility of making lessons more exciting and the interactivity of such materials, which arouses greater interest in the topics taught. However, some of the highlighted weaknesses were technical skills requirements and specific prior knowledge from teachers.
