Abstract
The Master's thesis analyses the work processes of managing research and development projects in Tallinn University of Technology with the aim of providing a data collection and storage process that ensures timely and reliable information for the parties. The work gives an overview of the Tallinn University of Technology’s background and the current state of the organisation of management of research and development projects. To get an overview and map problems, the work presents models and descriptions of current busi-ness processes. Based on these models and descriptions with analysis of current problems, proposals for future processes have been prepared. Proposals for future business processes are based on the principle of quality management of the Tallinn University of Technology, that data are presented in a single format and that there is one point of contact in the field. The work proposes to make greater use of the capabilities of the information systems currently in use in the organisation through their wider use in processes and the creation of integrations. Making such changes requires further detailed business analysis and involvement of the necessary parties in the implementation of the solution.
