Abstract
The program directors, heads of institutes and academic affairs specialists of the University of Tartu do not have a convenient possibility for monitoring the academic success and choices of students in the curriculum at an individual level. There is no overview of which courses and modules students prefer, which results are achieved and how successful they are in completing the curriculum. As part of the master's exam, an initial version of the learning analytics dashboard was created with the aim of facilitating the monitoring of students' academic success and curriculum completion. In order to build the dashboard, data from the development environment of the University of Tartu Study Information System (SIS 2) was used. The data was processed and structured in the R programming language, Angular framework was used for designing and visualising the dashboard. The created learning analytics dashboard allows the end user to analyze the situation of students both in the overall view and individually. Key performance indicators, which measure the general drop-out rate and the average number of ECTS for courses that are registered or included in the curriculum, have been added to the dashboard in order to get an overview of the curriculum.
