Abstract
Many materials and instructions have been compiled to teach and learn robotics. Learning materials for different educational robots can be found, but an elective course that allows the use of several different school robotics tools has not been established. There is an e-course Robotics from Wood to Red, which only addresses the use of a Makeblock mBot robot. An elective course for hardware programming based on Arduino's example has also been created for the high school, which is designed for beginners and focuses rather on electronics. There are also various electronic courses available on the Metshein.com website. There is a textbook for Robotics for Gymnasium Mechatronics and Robotics compiled in 2013, along with a collection of practical assignments, but many schools do not have the teaching tools used in it. The course has been created for gymnasium or third level of basic school. Educational robots Makeblock mBot, Lego Mindstorms EV3 and its extensions have been selected as practical learning tools. The master's thesis was compiled on the basis of existing teaching materials, practical assignment worksheets and instructions for using the above-mentioned educational robots were compiled and also was created the project learning module. The aim of the practical course is to give an overview of robotics, to attract learners to the purposeful use of state-of-the-art technologies, to use educational robotics tools to conduct the product development process and thereby to provide practical experience in the use of technology. The material was created in accordance with the principles of the ADDIE and Merrill models. The author of the master's thesis piloted the created digital teaching materials with students in grades 10 and 12. Based on the feedback of the students, the teaching materials can generally be satisfied. The robotics course created of this work is constantly changing according to technological developments and the skills of learners, but also according to the addition of teaching resources.
