Abstract
The goal of this thesis was to create an application to use in the subject Algorithms and Data Structures which would allow the automatic grading of working through the array algorithms by hand. The application helps to reduce the time needed by lecturers to grade tests. In addition, the program allows students to practice array algorithms interactively. The application grades the algorithm walkthroughs by looking at the mistakes made and the complexity of the final solution. The application has a simple text user interface. The thesis also defines the requirements for a graphical user interface for when the program gets integrated
