Prom is an open source tool for applying different process mining tools designed for various purposes. These tools can help businesses improve their processes. There are two main approaches for process mining. One is a technique for procedural processes (activities take place in a predefined sequence of order), and the other for declarative processes (no predefined order but activities have constraints). This thesis topic is to compare how these two approaches perform on a procedural log and declarative log for various purposes such as process discovery, analysis and monitoring. The different tools are applied on both logs and the results are compared. Part of the work is to evaluate the different tools on parameters such as functionality, effectiveness, and usability.
