Abstract
Development of vehicle communication networks, which will exclude a human from the driving process, is one of the priority areas in the field of communications. In such networks, vehicles exchange video data, yet errors in the communication channel can lead to the loss of data packets. Reliability of communications can be improved by using error-correcting codes at the cost of transmission rate reduction. The goal of this project is to develop compression-coding system which provides for the best reliability-transmission rate trade-off.
