Low-complexity codes for future communications standards

Abstract
Although error-correcting codes used in the latest communications standards, e.g. 5G standard, are very efficient, there still exists a demand for constructing more efficient codes and lowering their decoding complexity. Among other approaches, replacing binary LDPC codes with non-binary LDPC codes or generalized LDPC codes looks the most promising. The goal of this project is the optimization of these classes of codes. Using AI or neural networks-based technologies is considered to be one of the possibilities.
