Abstract
Egg is a parallel state-of-the-art framework for writing program optimisers using equality saturation. Your task is to build a relational algebra optimiser, both for physical and logical plans, with egg, that will be integrated in a query engine, and practically evaluate how much of a speedup does it provide.
