Abstract
This thesis will explore the role of generative AI in database systems. It supposes (as min) - Systematic Literature Review on how generative AI can benefit traditional database systems. The results of the SLR will be mapped onto database systems lifecycle specifying the role of generative AI in each phase (and examining it), followed by a case study, e.g., build/develop selected database (relational or NoSQL) using generative AI tools.
