Search for good quantum error correcting codes (QECC)

Abstract
Many existing QECCs are obtained from known classical codes, for example, from low-density parity-check codes (LDPC). There exists efficient algorithms and software for searching for classical LDPC codes and estimating their parameters. Generalization of these techniques to QECC is an interesting and important problem. We expect essential improvements over existing constructions.
