LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT compatible current probe and voltage probe

Abstract
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce two LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT compatible probes - current probe and voltage probe. Both of the probes are produced by Vernier Software and Technology and can be connected to the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT console via a NXT sensor adapter.
The theoretical part of this thesis is a scientific description and explanation of direct current circuits. Also a short overview of direct current history and everyday use is given. Second paragraph gives an overview of current and voltage probes and how to use them.
Third paragraph consists of three practical exercises that can be solved using LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT robotics kit and Vernier current probe and voltage probe. All the exercises are followed by one possible solution to the raised problem. Solutions are also available in NXT-G code format on a CD that is added to this document.
This thesis will be used as a study material in different schools. All text in this document must be understandable for teachers and students. This thesis can be improved in the future by adding more practical exercises that can be solved using LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT robotics kit and different sensors.
