Plaftorm Virtualization for F2F Computing

This work was undertaken as a part of the process of finding new directions for the F2F Computing framework. Looking into the ways of platform virtualization is a natural course for F2F Computing to take because the current version can run distributed computation jobs written in C/C++ and Python. In this thesis I looked into the virtualization methods which could be used for platform virtualization. I also looked into some of the network virtualization methods. I brought out different layers of the virtualized platform in the respect of the parties involved. As a result I provide ideas of how to achieve platform virtualization and a prototype solution based on the F2F Computing job.
