LEGO Mindstorms NXT compatible Numeric Pad

Abstract
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce the Numeric Pad sensor for LEGO
Mindstorms NXT by Mindsensors and create materal intended for the teachers and
students in Estonian schools to help with robotics activities. This thesis is composed of
three parts. The first part gives an overview about the arragements and history of numeric
pads. The second part of the thesis focuses on the specific Numeric Pad, giving
information on the usage of this numberic pad with the LEGO Mindstorms NXT set and
programming it in the NXT-G language. The third part has four example exercises, the
aim of which is to help in learning of the usage of the numeric pad and in general
programming in the NXT-G language. The exercises are given in an ascending level of
difficulty and contain all that is nessecary to solve them.
