Abstract
This thesis will give an overview of interval aritmetics and why it is important. The
thesis practical part observes performance of LU decomopsition algorithm through interval
aritmetics. Last section gives an overview of affine arithmetics which is extension of
interval arithmetics and is often able to give more accurate results.
