Development of Digital Textbook for the Course “Introduction to Databases”

Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to create a new E-book for the course “Introduction to Databases” (MTAT.03.105) at the University of Tartu. The E-book focuses on the material presented in lectures, and additionally, self-evaluation tests were added. Before the E-book was constructed, the author of this thesis analyzed two existing solutions based on the evaluation model LORI. The development process was guided by the model named ADDIE. As the last step in developing new course material, research was conducted among the students who had taken the course in previous years. The purpose of the study was to get an evaluation for the new E-book and get an overview of students attitude towards the constructed material.
