Standards based robust traffic light API
Organization

Abstract
For our initial demo we have implemented a simple traffic light status service as web API. This web API uses a local traffic light control center to fetch the latest traffic light status information. It is very simple and reliable compared to camera-based traffic light recognition. We would like to develop this idea further, but clearly a simple web API does not offer security, reliability or speed necessary for large-scale use. Therefore we would like to review the proposed standards for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication and re-implement the API according to those standards.
Your job in this project is:
1. Do thorough literature review of vehicle-to-infrastructure and vehicle-to-vehicle communication methods.
2. Choose a standard protocol for communicating traffic lights status.
3. Implement this standard protocol and integrate it with Autoware.
